W.B.Hawk
about me
I’m W.B. Hawk — AKA Zombie — creator of the Zombie Guide series.I write low-pressure field guides for people trying to function when the whole path is hard to hold. The books offer small handrails: one safer move, one name for what felt wrong, one way to catch the signal, one protected piece of yourself brought back into reach. This work comes from lived experience, but my story is not the center. The goal is to give people tools they can use, adapt, and make their own.
support and content
SUPPORT AND CONTENTThese books are free because safety, clarity, and basic support should be easy to reach. Some parts may touch on pressure, confusion, control, survival, or finding your way back.Go slowly. Skip what feels like too much. Come back later if you need to.This work is practical support, not emergency help.
One small note
ONE SMALL NOTEYou do not have to use these books perfectly.Start with the part that fits today.Skip what does not help. Come back later if you need to.The point is to find one useful piece and make it yours.
Read This First: What These Books Can and Cannot Do
These books are lived-experience field guides and support tools.
They did not come from a clean classroom path.
They came from living through hard things, dealing with confusion, memory and communication struggles, overwhelm, trauma, limited energy, and situations where normal advice did not always fit what was actually happening.
I had to learn differently.
I learned through writing, audiobooks, personal work, lived experience, trial and error, and a lot of trying to understand what was happening when life did not feel simple or linear.
That changed how I see things.
I do not always think in a straight line. I notice patterns, pressure, breakdowns, small signals, missing words, stuck points, survival habits, and the tiny moves that help someone keep going when the whole path is too much to hold.
Over time, that became tools.
Tools for finding the next step.
Tools for naming patterns.
Tools for keeping the thread.
Tools for rebuilding access when memory, words, energy, or clarity are hard to reach.
I take this work seriously.
But I am not a therapist, doctor, lawyer, psychologist, social worker, crisis worker, or licensed professional.
These books can offer language, reflection, pattern names, small next steps, and a place to start.
They cannot replace therapy, medical care, legal advice, diagnosis, crisis support, emergency services, or qualified local help.
If something is serious in real life, please use real-life support too.
If you are in immediate danger, contact emergency services.
If you are in Canada and are thinking about suicide or worried you may hurt yourself, call or text 9-8-8.
If you are outside Canada, use your local emergency number, local crisis line, or local domestic violence / victim services support.
If you are dealing with abuse, family violence, coercion, stalking, threats, unsafe living conditions, legal risk, medical risk, housing instability, or a mental health crisis, consider reaching out to a local crisis line, shelter, victim services, legal aid, qualified professional, or trusted support person.
You do not have to use everything in these books.
Take what helps.
Skip what does not.
Go slowly.
Use local, qualified support when the situation needs more than a book can give.
